Kaplan Vs. ExamCrackers Vs. Princeton

I have 2 Kaplan books right now, but does anyone have any suggestions between Examcrackers and Princeton Review?

However, I never realized Examcrackers were that good from what I've read on this board. Before I found this board I always thought they probably didnt know how to make questions but I guess not anymore.

have you checked out the reviews on examkrackers on amazon? they are pretty good. 🙂

Well i know this isn't much help 🙂.....

I'm going to buy examkrackers for prep work and then buy some exam kaplan and tpr for practice test.

I've used EK materials, PR materials, and BR materials. I love EK physics and biology text. Many things are simplified and easy to remember. I like some of PR for the hard passages, although I found some typos in the answer key. But having done BR materials this time, they are the best of both passages and insightful text. It might help that I have the author for my teacher, but I identify with a blend of information and test strategy. Definitely worth every dime I spent.

Having done those three books (but only PR and BR for class), I'd recommend 1) BR, 2) EK, and distant 3) PR.

So I feel inclined to take this PR course since I got a great deal but I'm just not sure that it's right for me... I need tactics and simple explanations. Is this a right fit for me? I know about Kaplan but again, I got a good deal and don't want to waste hundreds of dollars.... holla!

I took PR and I think it really helped me. A lot of these courses depend on your teachers.
The PR verbal is borderline worthless though- the strategies they use are horrible and their passages are much harder than actual AAMC ones.
Never took Kaplan.
Examkrackers is pretty nice...

I took the Kaplan class. It wasn't that helpful. The best thing about it was the 14 online tests + AAMC. But that's it.

My roommate had an extra set of PR books, which were helpful because they have this huge science workbook of discrete and passage questions for both PS and BS.

I also read the EK books with the 1001 questions. The bio 1001 really improved my score. The gen chem and orgo books were very concise and clear. I didn't like the physics book, but probably because I like more examples interspersed throughout the material (which is something PR did in their instructional material). The physics and chem 1001's helped me learn the content better, but they can be pretty frustrating sometimes, so pace yourself when you're doing them (aka not all 1001 in a day). I never bothered with the 1001 for orgo.

My roommate used BR and she seemed to like them a lot. But that's the only input I can offer you about it 🙂

I'm a self-studier who despises lectures, so take what I say with that in mind, but the ExamKrackers 5-pack in conjuction with the AAMC practice tests (all of them) worked like a charm for me. I recommend that combination to anyone who asks.

As a soon to be graduating medical student, i really want to emphasize on how important your score is for interview cut-offs. and it really doesn't matter what you use to study as long as you have a variety of questions and you do A LOT OF QUESTIONS!
