Hi there,
Ka= acid constant
like Ka for acetic acid is 6 x 10^-5 (i made that up)
to find the kb you do kw/ka
thus 1x10^-14/6x10^-5

is this the kb for acetic acid? or is this the kb for the conjugate base of acetic acid (acetate)?

thanks

I think thats the Kb for the conjugate base. I think the Kb for acetic acid would be -Ka for acetic acid. That might be wrong
