If you only have acceptance to KCOM, then that is your #1 choice right now.

NOVA
CCOM
NYCOM
KCOM

That's my list, in that order.

Good luck with the other schools.

yeah my choice would be:
1. Nova
2. CCOM/KCOM
3.DMU-COM

as i havent interviewed at CCOM yet, not sure if i would place it higher than KCOM
but im a Florida resident so NOVA is higly appealing 🙂

KCOM rules! Think about it, it's the oldest school, it's cheap to live in Kirksville, and from time to time you can speak with Dr. Still. What could be better! I am biased but I absolutely loved KCOM.

i also would like to know more about Nova? I've always heard CCOM and PCOM when people (students and doctors)talk about the better DO schools. By better, i think they mean that they have been established for a very long time and they have lots of very good clinical training sites in the cities they are located in. I have to say i was quite impressed with the match lists i've seen from CCOM. Over the past couple of years they have had lots of students go into top specialties (ortho, derm, optho, radio...). Not that this isnt the case at other schools, i just don't know that much about them. Whats the story with Nova??

Don't take my word for it. Go down to NSU and see for yourself, then you will understand. NSU=top notch faculty, excellent clinicals (South Florida has a plethora of hospitals), one of the best OMT programs in the country thanks to Dr. Elaine Wallace, incredible facilities, and don't forget South Florida weather.

Just my two cents.
