I got a no from Washington today via snail mail. So for me that's 3 interviews (IL, MN and Tufts), and 1 alternate (Cornell), and 2 nos (Va-MD and WSU). Still waiting on Penn. Wish I knew how these schools made their decisions. Seems rather random at times.
 
sorry about your no WA, but good luck with your other interviews. I know what you mean- who knows strange and cryptic criteria are being used for decisions. It's enough to make you nuts!
 
got my rejection letter from Western. I appreciated knowing. Here's to hoping to get an interview at Ohio!

I Know, I already posted in in the interview thread, but I'm just so happy! I just got an interview at Auburn!! That's 3 out of 4 schools for me. (one rejection, 3 interviews). :hardy::luck:

Me neither! It was a complete surprise this morning! Now I have like 0.5 seconds to book a flight and a hotel. Wow.:laugh:
 
Just got my interview itinerary from ISU for this coming weekend. Yay!

(I'm actually looking forward to the behavioral interview. I've had one before and I thought it was fun. 🙂)
 
Just declined my Illinois interview... I hope someone else gets the slot!
 
Well, after waiting over a month to hear back from Ohio State after my interview....I got my rejection tonight....

Is Michigan still putting out interview notifications? I'm pretty sure I'm not being considered, but I haven't heard anything either way. Nothing new posted on my login page. Anyone get any rejection letters from them yet?
 
Nope, still waiting. I went into file review 12/5. They said they would be emailing the last set of notifications the last week of January and or first week of February.
 
Still waiting to hear from Michigan also..went on file review 12/5 and my status page has not changed since then...
I know someone from last years pool that stayed on file review from Dec until March and then was notified of acceptance
 
She had an interview though right? And when?

Kansas State letters should be going out this week! 🙂 eek! Has anybody called and found out any more information as to when they will be sending them?

Is this just based off of what they told us last weekend? I have no further information. I guess I'm expecting them to arrive sometime next week, so trying not to focus on it too much. 🙂
 
Yeah, we are supposed to know by the end of Jan.
 
Yep, just based on what they told us at the interview. They said it would go out at the end of January, which would mean this coming week. If they waited to send them out until the week after, that would be February 4th, so I would assume that they would be sent sometime this coming week. But that's just me being super obsessive. 🙂

Yeah, I know. But Dr. Elmore said at one point they'd go out end of January/by Feb 1. So I just assumed, since Feb 1 is Friday, they'd probably arrive not next week but the week after. They could get to us sooner, but in the interest of not making myself crazy in anticipation, I figured I'd just assume the later arrival date. (This falls under the category of things I do to protect me from myself.😀)

I just heard from Michigan State this week. I was also in file review as of 12/5 and it was driving me crazy to not hear from them!

Acceptances last year were snail mail anywhere from 2/3 - 2/5, for the most part. Still a little wait left probably.
 
i haven't heard anything from Kansas... nothing about interviews or anything. I'm just assuming this means I'm rejected?

I'm in the same boat. Perhaps we're not first-round draft picks? Maybe 7th or 8th round? :laugh:
 
Rejection from Iowa via snail mail (no interview) received 1/21. Not complaining though: interviews @ OSU, KSU, Western and UofP. Hoping I'll get the best b'day present ever: an acceptance to vet school!!!
 
Got my rejection from Washinton today. 🙁 Oh well, I am still waiting on Tufts and Penn. Hopefully I will get some interviews, otherwise I guess I will be waiting til next year!

But didn't you already get some interviews this time-Glasgow, MSU??? Don't give up on this year;all it takes is one to say 'yes'
 
I've now heard back from 4 of my 5 schools!

Rejected: UC-Davis (wasn't too surprised by that one, just applied because of its location)

Interviews: Western, Washington, Oregon State (just heard back today!)

Still waiting!!! - Colorado

I got rejected from washington today too! I still havent heard from a lot of schools though including penn, colorado, virginia-maryland and wisconsin. Does anyone else know whats going on with them? I figure a rejection on a few of them but others im just completely confused lol.
 
I know some people have gotten into the combined programs at Colorado State, but I dont know about the regular DVM track. Has anyone else gotten an in-state interview invitation for CSU (or is waiting for one)?

Thanks, rejections can just be a real downer. I haven't given up all hope yet, like you said I have 2 interviews to prepare for!

Can't they just tell us all now & put us out of our collective misery? (Of course, I only really want to know now if it's good news-I don't want to be depressed)

A few of us have gotten in-state interviews. Mine is on Feb 7th. If you look at the interview thread they are posted there 🙂

Penn--I didn't apply but many people keep saying they're still sending out interview invites and continue to interview until quite late in the cycle (I forget when)

Colorado--Many of us are still waiting to hear anything at all, too. In their last email, they said they'd try to notify us of status by end of Jan (OOS), but it's unclear. People have said they heard later last year (I think Rexosaurus got an alternate letter in Feb?). They seem to be doing acceptances by email and rejections/alternates by snail mail.

VA-MD--According to Joyce Massie (via VeganChick), most/all interview invites have gone out, except they're waiting to see if everyone RSVPs. Something like that. Which I guess means some more may go out if people turn down interview invitations.

Wisconsin--We won't hear anything from them until March, according to their last communication (by email a week or so ago)
