March 17-21...you've got to be kidding me. Do you know if we get any sort of a choice as to what day our interview is (provided, of course, that we actually get one)?

I didn't get any choice of day and time, but fortunately my TN interview ended up on a Wednesday and my Auburn interview ended up being that Friday, so I could both in one (albeit long) trip. They're really nice here, and I'm sure if you end up having a conflict, they'll work with you.
 
I sent out all my Fall 2007 official transcripts and no one has sent me conformation that they received them. Has anyone received a conformation?
I sent it through UPS so i know their office has received, but I can't help but be completely neurotic 😀:scared:
 
I haven't even gotten all my fall grades yet, so I STILL haven't sent out my fall transcripts.

I sent mine out as well, late December I believe. A few schools replied with a simple thank you, and others I received nothing from. If you are concerned if they received them, you can look at the respective status pages (if they have them) or just send them an email requesting for a follow up to ensure they received them. You can also send an email with an unofficial copy of your transcripts attatched if you are extremely concerned. I know some of the deadlines are the 15th of January (is that today? :scared:) That is a surefire method that they will at least see your Fall courses if USPS is ridiculously slow, which may not be too far a cry from the truth!
 
Rexo, which ones are today? I don't have access to unofficial or official transcripts as of yet because my school is changing software... 🙁
 
I think CSU and Oregon state are today for sure. The rest I'm not sure of. I just remember the 15th being the golden day. I would say fax them, but if your school's website is having issues then you may be SOL. There is a thread around with all the dates, and if schools even wanted them.
 
I sent fall grades to 4 schools and never got any reply.

I suppose they're all busy with the admissions process: turning our apps into paper airplanes, and launching them to see if they can make it into the admit landing zone.
 
I thought CSU was like the 8th (I could be wrong though)... I called most of my schools to tell them they were having problems and they told me just get it to them ASAP. However, it might still be another week or more. I'm sending a copy of my fall grades printed off the computer, by no means official, but it's all I have and since I got a 4.0, I'd really like them to be seen. Oh well, it's just annoying that I requested the transcripts at the beginning of December and was told they'd be sent out January 3rd. Then they never notified anybody that they were having problems... I had to call a handful of times to find out...

Well, people have started hearding from CSU, but I just checked the Oregon State website and it says initial offers of admission will be mailed Feb-March 2008. Do you have some other info?
 
Haha thanks VaGirl, I was able to dodge the annoying A- finally this semester 😀

PS.. I didn't mean to brag, in my earlier post, hopefully it didn't come across that way... just expressing my frustration with my school for not having transcripts available during one of the prime transcript request times.
 
Has anybody that interviewed at OSU the week after New Years had a status page change? Just wondering...
 
my friend was accepted into osu today - and then called me up to tell me she met "that girl have been chatting with online" - i assume that's you, ri23!

anyway, no news from csu for me - congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

and still no word from osu, other than my status page is now at decision pending (i think it made the leap straight from evaluation to decision pending though it says "Your application has been referred to the program for admissions consideration."), but i've decided not to sweat it.

and i received my snail mail confirmation of the illinois interview, though they have changed my tracking page to an (apparently) angry "interview not offered."

that's all my news for now!

Looking back at last year's calendar, I received an interview invitation in the mail on Wednesday, February 28th. My interview date was Tuesday, March 12th, so roughly 2 weeks later. It didn't occur to me that I could change it, so I can't answer that.
 
Thanks for everyone trying to help with the Tennessee interview. It's not that I have anything really crucial on those days (or at least nothing worthy of attempting to change an interview date), but there is something I would REALLY like to go to.

The date I think you are referring to was just for official Fall 2007 transcripts to be received. I actually don't know when the dates are that we are supposed to hear from Oregon State. But now that you've made me privy, I have one more thing to stress about!

HUGE update for Washington State for those that are WICHE. I got a phone call last night from a second year. SHe basically said that the "early interest" letter that I received basically meant that if I get WICHE funding I will be offered admission!!! 😱 (HOLY ****!) And if not, I have the guaranteed interview for OOS. Then we got to talking and I had lots of questions about the program. If any of you want some info. about the program that is hard to find on the website, PM me and I will let you know what I found out! SO exciting!!!!

I completely agree!!! The wait is killing me....I have started religiously checking my mailbox now that I saw the OOS invites going out! Ours can't be too far behind! Good Luck Lailanni!

I've started giving my mailbox little pep talks when I check the mail everyday. "Come on little mailbox, you can do it! Bring me something good! I know you can do it!"
 
Ahhh why is Washington making us in-staters wait? I actually have fairly significant travel plans to make because i live in MA right now. All vet school correspondence is being sent to my parents in western WA though. I harass them constantly!

Email from Wisconsin saying they're now beginning application reviews and will notify us sometime in March.
 
I got an interview at Tufts! They emailed to say I had been selected, but that my letter was sent to my mailing address, which is my school address. They said I could email back for a copy of the letter, which i did so now i'm waiting on that.

hey SarahLT33,

did you email them first to see if you had an interview, or did Tufts contact you on their own? I've been checking my mail and stalking our mailman to see if I got anything from them. I'm sure I didn't get an interview, but I'm holding out hope that maybe they sent it to my school address and it just hasn't been forwarded yet. thanks! and Congrats!!

I know this isn't directed to me, but I got the same e-mail, and they sent it on their own. I already got my letter on Monday, so I think they sent the e-mail to everyone who got an interview, since some people might have had theirs sent to a different address and they want to know about interview conflicts ASAP to reschedule. I'm sorry if that's not quite the news you wanted to hear 🙁 Maybe they aren't sending out the e-mail to everyone all at once, so wait until the end of the day (or tomorrow) before you really start to worry.

Same as moonpaw for me-- I didn't email them to ask anything; they sent it on their own. I hope you all get one soon too!

Oh and I'm OOS.
 
Hey guys - I also got that email, without having gotten the snail mail stuff (yet). I think what happened for me is that they sent it to my school address, which is getting forwarded to my parents' address (across the country!) so it would have had to have gone from MA to PA to WA - a long distance.

I wasn't sure it it was because I'm a dual degree applicant with the Sackler school that my interview notification was delayed. I guess I made my mom stalk the mailbox in vain 😀
 
Got an update email from Wisconsin today saying they'll be meeting to make decisions in the next month and will be notifying in early march. Not real big news, but at this point I'm happy to hear anything!
 
I applied to WI too - I wish that we could get an answer sooner since they don't do interviews. I've gotten so impatient at this point since it seems like so many people are hearing from their schools and I still have 6 that I haven't heard from - March seems like a long ways away 🙁
 
Is anybody else starting to feel consumed by thoughts of the application process? I obsess about it enough on my own, but my friends and family have really picked it up a notch, I'm asked if I have heard anything at least 5 times a day and it's starting to drive me craaaazy. Ok, just had to vent a bit. 🙂
 
First, thanks to everyone for the congrats on WSU, i just don't want to get too excited yet....

also, since i have yet to receive an email or a snail mail from tufts, is it safe to assume i am getting neither, but most likely a rejection letter soon? 😕

I'm with you on that one! it's pretty much all I think about... night and day. i am just so glad i found this website... I go to a small liberal arts college, and am the only person in my class applying to vet school this year (there's usually about one each year)... so it's great to have this site to vent and commiserate with other applicants about the process... 😎

Same here! I started out freshman year with about 10 prevets and now I'm the only one...lol. This website has been extremely helpful, and now I'm getting my pre-med friends hooked on it too.
 
OOS alternate at Colorado State 🙂... I was completely expecting a flat out rejection. I wonder how many alternates there are and how much that list moves... I'm guessing probably not so much. I'm still excited about it though.

Unrelated: it's icy here and I almost face planted three times.

I just have to share my excitement with everyone! So my friend and I decided that we could not get stethoscopes of our own until we got accepted to vet school (it could jinx us, lol!), so after I got my acceptance from Edinburgh I ordered mine....and it came yesterday!!!! It is a Littman Cardiology III and I have been wearing it around my apartment all day! I know it is kind of pathetic, but I am just so happy!😀
 
I'm so happy for you. It's nice to have a post from someone who is gnawing their nails off and stalking their postal carrier (like myself) 😀

Thanks! Hopefully I'll find out soon where I am on the list. I looked up past threads which said that not last year but the year before, the list made it to #103, I'm assuming that is the OOS alternate list?
