I posted this in the Waitlist thread, but I though I'd put it here too, since this thread seems to get a lot of views.

I called to confirm that I do want to be kept in Oregon's alternate pool.
They told me that they don't have a numbered list of alternates, so anyone from the pool can be accepted next! They have some kind of system, but the nice guy I was talking to said he didn't know details. But there isn't a ranked list of runners up.
He said to hang on, because they've offered spots to people as late as September/October!
So there's hope for us yet 🙂

		 (Why is it that whenever I know someone in authority wants to talk to me, but I don't know what it's about, I always assume I'm in trouble?  I'm imagining him saying things like "Well, Ms. VAgirl, there seems to be a terrible problem with your application..."  I'm such a worrier!)
