During our interview day, the director of admissions (at a certain prestigious school said "You are here because we like you. So now it's your job to continue the relationship by wooing our socks off. Keep in touch!" Bleh. Does this mean I have to send a 4 paragraph business letter full of bs every couple of months? I really hoped that after the interview all this hypocrisy is going to be happily over and I can finally be myself for a change and do things I love vs fitting my life into the do-gooder premed mold -- even on paper. Especially since I am leaving the country for 3-4 months. I can just see myself lying in my hammock in the bolivian rainforest thinking ... hmm "dear dr. X, my love for school X led me to the edge of the world" argh. I hate this bs.
