in overviewing for the MCAT i've noticed some of these rate laws work out in two ways

in the first case such as [A]^2

plugging in values for A also means adding a 2 next to it's concentration.

in other cases it doesn't. i forgot which cases those are though. can anyone help clarify it for me?
 
Keq should be taken to the exponent of the coefficient only

but if you're solving for an unknown solubility you use the molar coeffiecient as both.

ie

XY--> X+ 2Y

would be

K= (x)(2x)^2
