keyhole question

Very tricky, dealing with slants in keyholes throws off your perception a lot. But since it is slanted, you have to kind of move the object around and imagine looking at it from the front view. The slant makes the squarish triangle look a lot bigger than it actually is.

yeah this one definitely looked tricky when I compared the two options. Gator D, would you say that this type of keyhole is very common on the PAT?

if the answer is E, im assuming you are looking at the backside of the figure. I don't see how there would be a step below the squarish triangle.

Yeah, this is more representative of the real keyhole section on the DAT. It focuses more on proportions than the correct shape like CDP. There is a step below the triangle because there's a space between the triangle and the platform below it. There is another step towards the bottom.

Haha, I'm screwed then, since I feel like I can't figure out how to rule out A or D. I don't see it at all.

Edit: Alright, A is out bc the neck is too thin. D though?

A is out because the neck is slanted. Judging from the left of the neck and the right side, you see they're parallel, and they do not slant towards the right in the front view. They slant towards the back, but out perspective makes it looks like it slants to the right when it really doesnt.
