Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone who has used chad's videos has also used the khan's academy videos? How similar are the two? I haven't seen chad's videos but khan's seem to be very informative, just not how much better one is that the other if at all.

And I've seen people discuss these videos a bit for the mcat but not so much for the DAT, is that probably for a good reason?

Thanks

i used both..

sal khan is a former hedge fund employee who happens to be well rounded and knows a solid amount of sciences..

chad=organic chem phD who can teach extremely well.

go with chad. he knows what these standardized tests encompass and he has shortcuts up the wazoo for learning important things

When it comes to chemistry, there is no comparison. I bet there are only a handful of people on this planet that have the ability to teach gen and organic chemistry as well as Chad. Khan has his place to, but when it comes to preparing for the DAT there is not a better use of your time than Chad's videos.

I agree with both predent1210 and white fang. I've used both Khan and Chad videos, and there are some topics Khan does not cover. What I did was watch Chad's videos, and if I was still confused on the topic, I'd watch the video over again OR go to Khan academy and hope/look for the topic there to get a different perspective.

Watching all of Khan wouldn't hurt, but it would take a long, long time (especially if you take diligent notes).

Hey everyone:

Okay, Im writing the DAT in November and I literally have to learn chemistry by then. I understand its first year chemistry, so I have the lessons I have to learn. What would you suggest I learn, Khan or Chad? Im thinking first Khan then Chad, just because I literally have no chem background......suggestions? Is this doable? Am I sure to fail the chem portion of the DAT? HELP!

Go with Chad all the way. Chad is a great teacher. He explains the stuff very well and highlights the things you should keep in mind that the DAT writers specifically use to try and confuse you.

Chad 100%

Chad is also fun to watch....I've laughed out loud several times.

To me the Khan Academy guy is very annoying and I use him only out of desperation.
