I do. I don’t think she’s wolfy.

He didn’t lead the vote on you though? I did. When he saw multiple wolf wagons he saw the writing on the wall.
So you’re voting him because he’s playing too differently from his last wolf game?

Day 1 of Stardew2 ended with a close wolf yeet, but that was not the case at the time of JJJ's vote. There were 10/19 votes placed and a very weak 3 way tie (2 votes each). JJJ chose to bus a fellow wolf to gain credibility at an early point. I agree there were multiple wolf wagons, but I certainly don't view this as "writing on the wall"

he did though, I was asking the thread to vote you and trying to be thread mommy. There was some writing on the wall there I’m sure he saw and saw the change to gain the village cred and rode that to the W.
It’s different but sometimes those of us who play more might be able to catch things earlier, in pasta I saw the writing on the wall for my noob wolf day 1 that she wasn’t going to make it to end game.

Not relevant to this game much so I’ll stop there but I would like yo know why you think JJJ playing drastically different from last game = wolf?

FWIW I wasn’t bussing a fellow wolf.

I'm feeling better about moth the more she posts (I also didn't realize she was a noob -- makes the initial drop-by a little less odd), and also feel like I've gotten at least some information for future analysis by voting there, which was my initial goal

Unyeet moth

Even if it puts me in a tie

To clarify, I'm voting JJJ because the analysis provided thus far feels off and the vote rationale feels unconvincing, which I descrived further in an earlier post. The comparison to Stardew2 is more of a secondary tinfoil rational, not the primary argument. I'll even conceed the point that more experienced players can see writing on the wall earlier than others.

I'm not voting JJJ because he is playing differently, but simply noting that I would be shocked if wolf!JJJ played this game the same as last one, due to how fresh it was on everyone's mind

Time for my 11pm tinfoil - JJJ is a wolf. Most of us were involved with stardew 2 and watched JJJ open that game with a bus on a fellow wolf (yours truly). He knew he couldn't get away with that strategy this time, so he held back and waited to place his vote on an existing wagon, then tried to find reasoning to justify the vote after the fact. The vote-count analysis was simply a strategy to bide time until wagons were formed

I'd love for anyone who knows more about JJJ's metagame to explain how I'm wrong, but for now:

Yeet JJJ
I'm not sure what you mean by "vote-count analysis", as I haven't done any of that.

I am solving this game by POE. mothy was contained in my POE, and I believed her to be a decent mafia prospect within that group. So I voted for her. The "reasoning" I provided is not super solid (i.e., confident/compelling) that much I will grant, but I don't think I have seen any solid reasoning for any vote in this game yet. That's kind of where we stand at mid-Day 1, and that's okay. That's how Day 1 usually works out. By the time we reach the deadline hopefully I am more confident in whatever I choose to do. We can only work our way there.

I have little comment on my strategy in StardeWW 2. I'm definitely different from that game, but in more than any basic sense of wifom strategy. I posted ten gallons of garbage in that game every time I "hunted", and it looked pretty and spiffy, and it got the job done. This time I am actually getting my hands dirty.

I'm having a little difficulty following mothy's posts. That's not wolf-indicative, but it does inhibit my ability to develop my read.

Lets do this. Gonna watch some Love Is Blind and read.

Someone drank an entir e bottle fo wine.
Hey hey hey, Nate, whoa there, watch the curb, here, let me help you. Steady as she goes. There you go, man. One step at a time. Let's get you home. While we're walking, why don't you tell me what your packmates had to say while you were putting that wine away?

Well they told me to.. HODL ON

I voted for JJJ because I was trying to appease Wilgy (I’m a pushover and just want everyone to be happy) and show them I wasn’t wooof aligned with JJJ. Their replies continue to give me pause and I’m reading them more wolf for rn.

Unyeet JJJ
I can seriously say I don't think I've ever seen you play werewolf before where you vote someone in an effort to look unpairing because someone poked you.
And now you're voting Wiggles for the OMGUS.

mothy is playing wildly different to how I've seen her play before. Add to that the backtracking sequence and I just... can't let that go.
Sure, noobs be noobing, but I also think she's been really leaning into the noob persona in the last couple pages.

Do you recall if mothy has been mafia before?

Since your'e here, what do you maek of mighty's vote/push? I'll fill in the detail as I backread, but what's your take?

If I had to pass immediate, absolute judgment I would say town. I have little confidence in that though.

Generally, I don't think mafia choose me as their Day 1 target. The variable that clouds things is that mighty and I were just packmates in the previous game, and I am not sure how that interacts with the previous point. I am not surprised he would give me extra scrutiny after StardeWW 2, particularly given that he had access to my commentary in the wolf chat all game long.

lol you mean, I'm not playing as hot mess express?

Cuz like, I'm hot mess express.

I'm happy to start speaking another language just to prove my point that I'm village.

I wolfed with samac long ago and hadn't played with wolf samac until pawwsta where I was blind sided, but I've collected some posts on why I feel like she's village.

The TL;DR I feel like wolf samac is more serious and jumps to pushes earlier and village samac is a little more carefree? (I think that's the best word I can use to describe it), village samac also LOVES to spew about how village she is

wolf! samac in pawwsta, yeah she starts off joking but quickly into the day she starts throwing down the sus

vill!samac in stardeww, much more carefree, , more jokey, more likely to analyze for a while, before hard pushing also lots of use of caps lock, and yes there was a N0 and yes there was a drunk samac so I included a little bit of everything

And then this game
Her posts and tone this game just matches stardeww more imo

I will post about zenge in a different post because I'm going to anime con tomorrow and I'm worried about hitting my 40 posts this cycle 😬
Thanks for this, Dina, and for talking about Zenge. Your compilation of posts helps me to interpret both you and samac. It does a nice job to dispute my baseline "severity of language" read for samac while offering a different town view instead. So that's neat.

I'd appreciate if the other SDNers out there who've played with Dina could provide their initial impressions of her.

Love Is Blind

The contestants must decide if they want to propose marriage

without ever seeing one another!!!

Ignore the fact that they're all supermodels anyway.

That doesn't get in the way of the premise at all.

Stop asking questions. Look at the pretty people.

there are admittedly a few people this season that I'd just be like...eh, pass.

I mean... mayo gonna mayo

You're not wrong

But

Counter point

genny gonna genny
unvote mothy
vote mayo

For some reason I am quite bothered by this. It might be dumb, but I don't think people get to pull a "X gonna be X" about themselves. And UNO-reversing that on genny after she'd resisted samac town reading mayo just looks fake and discrediting.

I dunno what OMGUS means….
It stands for Oh My God U Suck, adn it's a general term for like, being reactive and going after someone that' spushing you (the idea being as a wolf it's "easier" to revenge vote someone than try to make a more reasoned argument for a misyeet)

Reading over the past few pages with more coffee and less wine in my system, I want to make the following clarifications/statments:

1. Stating "JJJ is a wolf" was overstating my intent. I should have phrased this as "JJJ is at the top of my POE"

2. I'm not sure what to make of his switch to Mayo. In one hand, I should add Mayo to my POE due to the lack of game solving (I agree with Nate that a coin flip between the two plot armor members is probably the least helpful vote possible). On the other hand, it seems like a very "safe" vote for JJJ to move to, and I certainly won't grant him any village points for it.

3. I will concede that I may be giving JJJ extra scrutiny due to Stardew2. But that's part of the fun, right? Use past history to color your reads, at least until the current game develops further?
