I don't know if the wolves would have known that, though. There's a lot of panic in those final moments if a wolf is going down, and chaos from a claim that they knew would be counter-claimed could land almost anywhere. If the other wolf went down in the madness, then Dina was 100% toast anyways the next cycle, so it wasn't just like, swapping out one dead wolf for another one.

I think you’re looking at it all wrong.

I am Dina. I’m going down. We know the set up. We know that there’s a doctor and we need 5+ misyeets still. (BRUTAL) we need to kill Samac and Zenge, but it’s risky because we can’t predict who the doctor will protect.

If I’m Dina, about to Die, I can claim doctor. If the real doctor counter claims, our biggest threat is removed from the equation.

If doctor isn’t around to counter claim then village waffles onto someone else

Possibly a packmate, sure, but then possibly not, and we were going to lose a wolf anyway regardless.

I think forcing out the doctor is preferred there

These are the possible setups. FWIW, I don't think of doctor as being a particularly strong PR, in any setup (I know, I've been one... made 0 saves and lost), and in these setups, trading scum for a doctor doesn't seem particularly worth it to me? Like, in Track, you've turned the tracker into a cop, and in Analzye, there are still two other, stronger PRs. Granted I don't know the meta here, and maybe I have an unconventional view anyway, but honestly if I was Dina I would have gone down quietly. Obviously that's not what happened, and my guess is the wolves were hoping for no counterclaim, but oof. Tough row for the last wolf to hoe. You have my sympathies - I've been the last wolf backed into a corner, and it sucks.

I disagree with the doctor being a weak role in a setup, particularly an open one. They can carry a cleared villager at least 2 cycles by just being present in the minds of wolves who don't want to risk a failed kill.

and given the players alive, it is an absolute risk that someone in Mayo's thread position is a PR. It is why I defended them through the game.

I'm boarding a plane and will be in the air for hammer o'clock, but I just wanted to offer the following:

It seems the sus against me boils down to process of elimination or a smoking gun post. If you yeet me because of "everyone else is more village," I get it, it will be a necessary misyeet to move forward with gamesolving. However, I will strongly disagree with the smoking gun rationale.

At that point, it was clear that a wave was moving toward Dina. I can see only three reasons why I would make that post in the current threadstate:

1. Village mighty was short of 40 posts and was trying to find something to contribute regarding the two leading yeet candidates.

2. Village mighty was trying to provide a lifeline to his wife, who had been too busy to really contribute much so far

3. Wolf mighty took the pin off a grenade and hugged it to his chest.

The only other person in this game who actually knew Dina's alignment was her packmate. Why would wolf mighty make such an pointless comment when her head was on the chopping block? Wolf mighty would always stay quiet and keep on the "safe" read (JJJ is sus).

I find myself wondering if this is just a loud expression of caught for the wrong reasons.

Players who rand PR usually play "like wolves", as in, PR town usually seems scummy to other players. Thats because they for one get nervous about being PR (if they are new players) and don't really know what to do in the thread, and for two, do not want to be targeted by the NK. They want to live inside the bottom poe, but not like the bottom of the bottom so they dont have to claim.

I PR read Mayo and stated to JJJ back during D1 or early D2 it is because of his thread position (among other reasons). I did not want to spell out a PR read tho because that could give it away to wolves.

My main takeaway before my phone said NO is that Nate can't be a wolf. No way Dubz ties up the vote at that point by voting on a wolf when a villager is available.

Tbf norovirus SUCKS. I’m finally feeling better-ish today (mostly cuz my throat stopped hurting/spasming and I could lay down last night)…but now I’ve moved on to buckets of snot

Okay, but next time please ask nicely. I can pull some quotes from mayo and JJJ. Not sure I have more to say about the WildZoo stuff; I mostly just have feelings and didn't necessarily have anything specific in mind (other than "wow, 7 votes is a lot!").

Why not take a stance here as a wolf? Either agree with the village and try to weasel a little more into the village core, or go all out and try to save Dubz by village reading her/putting doubt into village. Can always play poor fooled villager later.

oh well i could have just gone lucky since i have never played with you guys before
since i have played my fair share of champ games, i have started to focus on LHF and try to get a read. Mayo gave off PR vibes, like how he kept **** posting despite being pushed. But maybe that is just mayo stuff. Sometimes you are right for the wrong reasons tbh!

When I began tinfoiling Genny, instead of elevating that paranoia by agreeing (so to expand the poe), he immediately brought it down.

If the final wolf is not within Genny, Moon and Mighty, then they would really really want to move the yeet away from Mighty/Moon today and make it happen on someone else

The word "cleared" here should not be taken literally. Call it "town credit". This might confuse others. I am just thinking out loud. Pippy is my "tinfoil" option just given that she shows up in only one of the top three lines for me. I wouldn't vote her today or tomorrow, just something to be mindful of. Perhaps someone else has better reason to clear her than this, and that'd be great.

Dina gave them both treatment that I don't think looks paired. Primarily, they did things that may conventionally be viewed as "weird" (Wilgy's wild Dubz vote, and Boq's turbulence about Dubz) and poked at them for it to discourage their credit.
