Congrates on your invite! I guess they are giving out the second round of interview invites. I hope they will send me one!!!!
 
congradualations everyone who is getting invites from NYMC today!😀

I rushed to my email to see if I would find the golden email (an interview invite) and instead I found an email saying I was incomplete. And when I called the lady on the other end of the phone said, "Oh, I'm sorry it looks like one of the boxes that we need to check here on our end wasn't checked. I've fixed the problem and now you will be up for review."😱

Bahhh.... The status page says I have been compete for a month now and now becuase of a clerical error I am just going into the prospective pile. I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter but that poopy .😡

Are you sure instead of checking "invite interview" button, she didnt press send "secondary ackownledgement" button?
 
Does anyone know if they send interview invites in batches? Or have they sent them ALL at once? This obessively checking email is going to drive me insane. If I know all the interviews are sent already, at least I can go an cry in a corner somewhere :scared: and GET on with my day.

Please can you guys post the time of your emails. THanks

Thanks Rob! They are offering me OCT 19 with dates on monday tuesday and thursday all the way through November (4 weeks)

10/19 is looking good so I think i am going to take that

I am pretty sure they are sending in batches and are nowhere near done sending out interviews. Don't sweat it yet!

true this.. the offers we had started from the 25th and went on for 4 weeks too i think. Maybe that means I will know their decision before you guys eve start interviewing!! Cuhraziness.

I got the file complete email on 8/9 and the interview invite was sent three weeks after. The file complete email came about 15 days after I sent everything in.

MCAT Disaster:

I was pleased to gain said Harvard interview, since there was actually a slight chance that that would not be the case. When I took the MCAT in April, I had doubts about some questions on Verbal, but I knew that I got every single question in Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences right. I memorized each question in the 40 minutes I had left at the end of each of the science sections. During the lunch break, I looked up all of the answers for Physical Sciences and confirmed that all of my choices were correct. After the test, I did the same for Biological Sciences.

When I received my score report, it was an absolute disaster! I did earn the maximum score in both Verbal and Biological Sciences; however, I had missed one point on Physical Sciences! I knew that this absolutely had to be a mistake because I had confirmed that all of my answers were right, and I had been 100% confident in each of them! I sent my test back to AAMC for a hand regrade. Two months later, I ended up with the same score! Well, I know that the AAMC workers are likely less intelligent than they are given credit for (after all, you don't need an Ivy League degree to work there or anything), so I decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. I called Customer Services and spoke to a woman who said she was "there to help." I asked her to go over the answers to every question with me over the phone (a very reasonable request, considering what was at stake), and she said something bunk like she didn't have time to do that with each student. When I then politely asked just what the heck she thought she was getting paid for, she hung up on me! Now that's just bunk! So I applied to Harvard with my 44, thinking that they would reject my application in the initial screening. I guess I'm just lucky I got through.

Hi I actually am the one who graded your mcat and decided you didn't deserve a 45 so i gave you a 44. Oh I am also on the admissions committee at harvard and we were going to decline your application with a horrible 44, but I felt bad for you so I put it through for an interview, but we've already decided not to give you an acceptance, sorry premed-machine, I guess its Carribean for you buddy.
