so uh...do we still have to suffer through lab reports in dental school? Just curious as I am suffering through one right now :c
Organic Chem lab had some gnarly lab reports. 10 pages +. One of only 2 B+ on my transcript. Never again.
Organic is one of the pre reqs I have to take and your comment scares me.... 10+ pages.....
Please elaborate.Haha... they are over, but you have other BS to deal with in its place.
x2Please elaborate.
Srsly...a lab report, you can take home with you, sit on your couch and type away if you wanted to...dental school lab projects on the other hand can not only be frustrating but you have to do it in class or after school at the lab. dental lab work, you're never sure how long something is going to take because it's probably the first time you've ever done it. with college labs, after the first couple, you kinda already know what you need to do to get full creditHaha... they are over, but you have other BS to deal with in its place.
dental school feels more like high school than college because you're stuck with the same 100 people for the next four years and you're all taking the same classes from 8 am- 5 pm. dental school is like college because of the level of difficulty but it's different because you're taking twice as many credit hours and only have the hours after 5 pm to study. in college, you basically do nothing for a couple weeks, then study for a weekend, take an exam, and repeat. in dental school, it's like you're reliving finals week from college almost every week because of all the lab practicals and exams. it feels like there's a lot more time consuming, non lab report stuff that you gotta do.Please elaborate.

but yea, lab reports are over...
No! take a vacation and have a good memory to remember about before selling your soul to dental school. The little amount of studying isn't worth the awesome amount of free time and fun you could have. I studied and even if it did help me, i wish i had fun.oh man, the responses are making me nervous again. I've read other posts where people ask how to prepare for dental school, and most of the replies stress that it's your last vacation for a bit so you should just relax...do you guys (current dental students and dentists) wish you would've done something to prepare? If so, what and how much of it?
