There are a couple of threads on this, but they're pretty ancient. So here goes.

I'm applying right now, so the earliest I'll be entering is Fall 2010. What are some good ways to make money during a lag year? Or what are you guys doing during your lag years?

I got involved in conducting more research. I work at a medical college full time making pretty decent money doing research, that way, if for some reason, I dont get in this year, Ill have another full year of research under my belt. lets just hope i get in! I also had a lot of prior research experience to get the job I have now though.

Hmmmm. Moving in with your parents comes to mind. You don't have to pay for rent and food that way, so you'll end up minimizing your expenses. Personally, I'm gonna wait and see if I get in this year. If yes, then I'm off to Europe. I'm gonna get rid of my apartment, move all my junk into storage (There are some awesome deals for storage places if you look around), and I'm gonna travel till I drop, and then come back and start school!
