i have read both cases on this forum. some people used a pencil and 2 sheets of paper and others used a marker and 2 laminated papers.

I tried to call a polymetric center but unable to talk to anyone. :/ I called ADA, and the lady told me it's a marker and 2 laminated papers. .... Then how the heck ppl got to use a pencil and papers??

does anyone know how to contact polymetric or find out about this?

1) It's prometric
2) I was given two laminated pieces of paper and two markers. Erasing is difficult. I considered spitting.

i took the DAT yesterday they gave my 2 laminated and markers but no eraser!! does that seem right?
I thought they would at least give you some kinda of eraser and they would not supply me with any more paper. it doesnt seem fair i was only limited to 2 sheets and i write a lot for QR and RC

If you did poorly, I would look into filing a complaint with the ADA. As I personally would feel this is unreasonable testing situation. assuming they did not allow you to swap for blank ones when you filled up yours.

Oh and by poorly I'm thinking 18/19.

If you threw down 21+ it would seem like a waste of time.

I called my testing center today to ask about this. The lady on the phone told me that they were still giving erasers because they haven't gotten the "new pens" yet. What's so fancy about these new pens and why don't we get erasers with them?

I actually just sent in a complaint because it affected my scores for QR and math my marker was crappy too-it was just a disaster, do you think they will be willing to help? does this happen often?

I took my DAT last week and I got 2 pieces of yellow laminated paper and 2 fine tipped WET erase markers. Because they were wet erase, once you fill one up, you just hold it up and they come get it and give you a new one. I know all centers aren't the same but I was really pleased with the wet erase since I didn't want my hand erasing my scratch work.

I remember years ago Prometric gave everyone 6 sheets of scrap paper stapled together and the sheets were numbered so they counted them at the end of an exam to make sure you didn't write down any questions to take home. And if you ran out of space they would provide another set of 6 sheets.

Then they switched to dry erase markers with laminated sheets/boards which were a huge mistake.

And now they're trying 2 sheets of scrap paper, wet erase markers, or different dry erase markers, while some provide erasers and some don't, WTF???

What a bunch of bafoons....

LOL
I hate to admit it but I did thought of it too.
But I just decided to ask for two new laminated sheets during the 15 min break.
If you ask your proctor nicely, he/she probably wouldn't have problem giving them to you.

After all they are reusable, right?!

STudy HARD! [harder than I did at least . ha ha]

I definitely agree.
They did this to SAVE PAPER and COSTS!
DANG, I'm freaking paying 200+ for exam and more for study materials.
I DESERVE to use sheets of actual "non-laminated papers."

I just compensated to writing really small for the sections I used the scrap papers for the most, RC and QC.

Actually, it's costing them more because those Expo markers are a complete rip off. They sell a 4-pack at Staples for around $5-6 and each marker doesn't last that long at all.

Double bafoons.
