Difficult or impossible ventilation after sufentanil-induced anesthesia is caused primarily by vocal cord closure. Bennett JA, Abrams JT, Van Riper DF, Horrow JC. Is fun because it kinda debunks the myth about chest wall rigidity. Landmark probably not.
