Hey everyone.. I'm taking the test this coming Thursday and that means that tomorrow (Monday) is technically the first of the last two days of full-time studying.. in his plan, he has it laid out to review the Margin Notes of Goljan, which I imagine might take me awhile.. so I was wondering if anyone thinks it might be wiser to skim through First Aid the last couple of days and pick apart things that are still managing to slip my mind, or whether it's worth it to just move into the Goljan stuff even if it might consume 5-6+ hours of each day. I definitely don't feel like I know FA "cold" like many people recommend.. I know most of it, but there are still things that I'm learning/catching even as I go through it right now.. I'm just not sure if it would be higher yield at this point to nail all of that down, or to just go through all the RR margin notes and "give up" whatever I haven't gotten out of FA yet (minus a couple subject-specific reviews). (I've read the majority of Goljan at least once, probably 1/3 of it twice, and skimmed the margin notes in certain sections before - if that helps any)

For those of you who remember a couple of panicked posts I had a week or two ago, about scoring 219 on my diagnostic and then 224 on UWSA1 three weeks later - I did manage to push to 244 on UWSA2 yesterday.. I feel like I may have gotten a bit lucky as far as not really being hit too hard on my weaknesses though, so I want to take that score with a grain of salt (but still stay hopeful that it represents something!).

Any thoughts? FA re-review weaknesses vs. Goljan margin notes.. or perhaps FA weaknesses and Goljan margin notes in weaknesses? Or..?

I used the Taus plan and hoped it worked out well for me, waiting on my scores. The last three days were very good IMO. The goljan side notes, charts and pics are great. It took me about 8 hours spread over 2 days to get through everything. Then i studied first aid like he recomended. If you have followed his plan you know FA better than you think you do. You will never fell totally comfortable with this test. If you havent followed the Taus program through completely then im not sure what you should do in the last 2-3 days. What i can tell you the goljan side notes and charts are absurdly high yield.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad to hear you think it went well! Did you do Taus in full, or shortened? I only made 1.5-2 passes of everything before the last two weeks plan, so I'm not sure if that really counts as following his plan very closely.. :/

I went through the plan rather completely. Went through RR path 4x in alot of sections since i used it during my path class at school, also listened to audio during class as well so i was very familar with RR path so it may take a little longer to get through the side notes if you are not as familiar with it.

Ah okay- thanks for your response 🙂 I decided that since I wasn't super familiar with at least half of Goljan, I'd probably have wandering eyes too much to just read the margins.. and that since I still felt insecure about a few other things in FA, to just nail those down 100% and hope my prior Goljan reading just comes back to me if I need it.. !
