Last 45-60 hours?

Hello everyone!

First off, congrats to all those who have been accepted! Very happy for you all and I hope to be in the same position one day. 😀😀😀

I had a question about the last 45-60 hours, does that only include the fall and spring semesters or will they look at classes taken over the summer and count them in the 45-60 gpa. I'm a class of 2017 hopeful, and I'll be taking summer classes this year and next year and I was wondering if they would look at those course or only focus of the fall and spring semesters?

Hi Germadirk,

I'm pretty sure they count everything you've completed up until you submit your VMCAS application. So summer courses should count!

Maaaaybe UTK only counts semesters where you took more than 12 credit hours? I dunno if that would mean they don't include summers, or if they have different rules for the summer semesters, or what. I'm too lazy to look - just pointing out that they might be the oddballs there. Someone always has to do it a little bit differently, huh?

From what I was told, you figure the GPA from the semester in which the 45th hour falls and onward. If that includes a summer semester, then it includes a summer semester. I don't see why they would NOT include summer work.
