So I'm going to be finishing up UWorld today and my Step1 is on the first. I was wondering how I should spend the last few days. My resources have been First Aid and Pathoma. I definitely want to go through First Aid one last time and maybe Pathoma but I'm not sure I have enough time to give both justice.

I was wondering what you guys thought in terms of more questions. I have the Kaplan QBank but I haven't really used it. Should I continue doing questions from Kaplan or are they not as relevant? I was thinking of going over the questions I got wrong on UWorld but I think I'd probably get over 90% if I did the used questions cuz I've been taking delicate notes and reviewing them quite frequently.

So basically, should I do Kaplan Qbank in my last 9 days? Or am I better off just going through First Aid and Pathoma?

7 days before the test I spent 2 days on pathoma. 3 days on FA. 1 day on images and the last half day on going over drugs/ physiology equations. (in that order)

In retrospect should have given myself an extra 2-3 days for FA. I was going crazy trying to reread it.

I didn't have any time to do Goljan, but its probably good.

For those who have taken the test, what would you say are the "extremely high yield" charts/pages in FA? Especially the ones that caught you off guard

Know the immunodeficiency diseases chart. I got a couple questions on that, and they were difficult because I felt like vignettes present patients with overlapping diseases.

The branchial cleft/arch/pouch derivatives are also pretty high yield. It was on my exam and a couple of my friends' exams.

I hate immuno! Haha thanks for the tip. How much of the exam is immunology exactly?

the lowest yield is the stupid viral characterizations. I spent hrs on it for 1 ez question that could have been answered by the image.

This. I chose to not learn the viral characterizations. The only stuff I memorized were the exceptions (e.g. Parvo is the only DNA virus that is single stranded). Luckily, it was not on my exam.

Should I go over answers to NBMEs? I've taken just one but I have answers to 3-4 of them... I've heard some questions show up ditto on the real thing

some concepts may show up, but i doubt the same exact question will. up to you if you want to go over the questions you got wrong.

Hey I saw that you were wondering about going over nbmes....what did u decide? I also have only a week left and I'm wondering if I should do all the nbmes or just keep repeating uworld.

The only annoying thing about the nbmes is that if u don't do them on the actual site, u really don't know which of all the online keys online are correct, and it ends up wasting a lot of time to figure it out. It's best to actually pay for them and remember what u put down and then go over the exam immediately after w the pdf files (while u still remember what you put as an answer).
