Since I'm re-taking the MCAT again this Sat, are there any benefits to with-holding scores? (i.e. just in case they turn out to be worst than the first set of scores)? But if they turn out to be much better (which they will) then will there be a delay in releasing the scores since it will already be October?

Thanks

If you're confident they'll be better, why are you even considering withholding? I would say withholding would slow your app down way too much.

I've heard from people that medschools don't look favorably on withheld scores. Also, if you're applying this year, I wouldn't withhold scores since it'll take a long time for them to release it again once you decide to release it. Like SMW said...don't withhold it if you're confident you'll do better.

Don't hold your scores. They're going to notice the asterisk next to your name on the MCAT score report meaning you witheld your scores. Even if after you release them, they're going to wonder why...
