Hey Guys - I was just curious if anyone who has applied late has heard anything yet?....(and im not looking to hear from those ppl who consider June to be way too late 😛 )....also, when and where you applied....thanks!

Hey liztish. nope nothing here yet. just said my apps are under review from a couple schools. apps were sent by aadsas on the 21st on Nov. Applied to UCLA, USC, UCSF, BU, NYU, U Mich, and U Penn.
Hey, I submitted Oct 15, mailed out Nov 21. I also got a bunch of supplementals (pretty recently actually) and very few interviews: to the Maryland recruitment event, SUNY Buffalo, and a very late Columbia interview in March!
Haven't heard a thing from NYU, Stony Brook, or any of the Boston or Philly schools.

I submitted in Late September/ Early October and didn't hear anything back until January. After interviewing twice once in Jan and once in Feb landing on two alternate lists and not getting in I ended up reapplying this year. Good luck.

I hit submit online on Oct. 3, app was mailed Oct. 31 and I got one invite to an interview in early November (it was just held last week). I sent in all my supplementals and additional application fees during November, so now I'm just playing the waiting game. My guess is that I won't hear anything from anyone else until after Jan. 15 when the schools have gotten responses from all the people who were accepted Dec. 1.

I applied to 12 schools. Mostly private schools - Case, Creighton, Marquette, UDM, Loma Linda, ASDOH, UoP, plus Colorado, UMKC, UCSF, UNLV, and Oregon. Waitlisted at ASDOH and Colorado. DAT 20/19/18, BCP GPA 3.5 (2005).
Like I said, I retook the DAT to boost a couple section scores, got better LORs, better science GPA, more shadowing, and some dental lab experience. Most of the schools told me my largest problem was the non-early application. I reapplied in May '06 with much success. Good luck this cycle but -if you do need to reapply- don't get too discouraged, just make sure you submit your materials as early as possible.

I submitted my app through aadsas on 10/6. My apps were sent out 11/6. I have had 1 interview at UMDNJ. I have an interview scheduled on 1/11 at Tufts and one 3/2 at Columbia. Just wait. You'll get something. God bless.

App mailed 9/28. Interviews at Columbia, BU, UoP all in January/February. Still waiting to hear from four other schools though...

my app was complete at most schools by the end of october (mailed out in beg, of october, but by the time i took the dat and the scores were in it was almost nov) and i have 6 interviews as of now...but i really wouldn't worry, like others said, if not now, you'll definitely start hearing from schools after jan. 15th, as they want to see how their class is after the first round.
sure applying early has its advantages, but don't believe the hype you keep hearing about on sdn. it's way too early to throw in the towel now, and even think about reapplying. don't worry

Here, here! Acceptances will continue to be extended until right before school starts (things happen). Don't waste time being worried, at least not at this point - it's not good for you!!
though more often than not i will agree with someone who says "don't believe the hype," i think in this case there is a definite advantage to applying early if you are an average applicant. and i believe that should be stressed. on the other hand, if you have a stellar application, it won't really matter to the same degree.
my app was sent in mid september, and i had only one interview and have none scheduled in the future. i'm 3.67/3.5, 21/21/21. so take that for what it's worth.

I just completed my application at ASDOH on Nov. 25th and I got an interview invite today! My first invite so I am pretty stoked. Trust me, my application isn't anything special so there is hope. Give it some time.

Accept LLU.. they sent me their secondary mid November. My stats aren't half bad (3.6/3.7.. 22/23/20) so i'm beginning to think it was a bad LOR, or maybe my personal statement was all wrong!
I'm going to apply again on the first day of next cycle..maybe get some better LORS.. in the mean while i'm just going to add an interview invite on my wish list. Santa better be real! 🙄

Sorry should have clarified. I applied early to a bunch of other schools and then decided in late October to apply to ASDOH and my app wasn't complete with them until Nov. 25th. The invite I just got was from ASDOH.

I have an interview at Minnesota on December 22nd and one at Crieghton on January 29th. I was put on Hold for Comparison at Kentucky. And, I have had one rejection from UMKC, because they require anatomy and physiology, and I didn't take it.

AADSAS sent my apps out on the 8th of November. I've had one interview so far (UConn) and have two others (Penn and Columbia) coming up shortly.
what is the status with everyone as of right now? all late applicants that replied earlier, what have you heard thus far? any interview?

Agreed! I haven't heard from more than half the schools i applied to either. But so far, acceptance from Maryland; and interviews to Buffalo, Tufts, Columbia... and hopefully more...

So far, I have been accepted to UConn and I have interviews coming up at Penn and Columbia. Still--like many of the other late applicants--I haven't heard back from about half the schools I applied to.

I am a Canadian who decided to apply at a very late stage in the game, I applied in mid Nov. I wrote the November Canadian DAT and I recieved the scores on Dec 23 (which was just recieved at the several admission office in the US when I called today).
My scores didn't go as well (I only studied for about alittle over 1 week, cause I wrote the MCAT in the summer)

My application sent mid-November and I have two interviews (Buffalo and Stony Brook for Feb). I was also rejected at UConn and "waitlisted" at UMDNJ, which apparently this is a mistake? It says waitlisted on AADSAS, but I never interviewed. Good luck everyone.. I'm hoping for a couple more interviews!
Yes, the AADSAS update to "waitlist" at UMDNJ is a mistake. Same thing happened to me. When I called, they seemed to be aware of the problem (but for some reason never fixed it..?). Anyways they told me it should say "under review."

Last friday I scheduled an Interview for Jan 18th. So there's always a chance
I got interview invites to two more schools on Jan. 5--I've scheduled them for Jan. 18 and Feb. 2. Unfortunately I had to mail in a hefty deposit for the one place I have been admitted to so far, so I'll lose that money if I go somewhere else. I think that situation is the biggest disadvantage of applying late--the fact that you are more likely to hear back from schools at different times rather than Dec. 1, so you don't know all your options when your deposits are due. I wish dental schools apps were like undergrad apps--you applied by one deadline and heard back from all schools by the first week of April and then could make your decision having all your choices in front of you.
updates please. i've called temple and tufts and pretty much they told me i dont have a chance considereing i was so late in applying (addsas sent nov. 8th) but no final decision has been made. any1 else hear anything?

Don't lose hope!
I was feeling like I was going to have to gear up for the 2008 cycle, then interviewed at U of Washington on Jan 18th and was accepted.
yes...call the schools and check up on your application. something might be missing on your file. for example, all the school got my DAT scores except for NYU. you would think that the DAT scores would be the last thing missing but in my case, I had to resubmit my score to the school.

If that 3.2 isn't from Harvard, give up hope.
Take an intensive one year masters/post-bac program this year and also make sure to take the DAT again. If you take both of those things seriously you'll be fine for next year.

I have everybody beat. My aadsas app was sent out to schools 1-5. I took the dat in dec., thinking that I would take a year off. I did good, so went ahead and applied for the hell of it. I have an interview at UT memphis feb. 16, since they don't use aadsas. As for the other schools, I think I wasted my money...but who knows.
