flyhi, that's great news! Sorry we won't see you around this fall, but it sounds like this will solve a lot of issues at once. Congrats!
Sognidoro, best of luck on your next round of applications, and hopefully you'll get into your in-state when you decide to apply again. I'd be inclined to finish the MPH, as that will be a completed degree IF you decide not to apply again, and you won't burn bridges with your mentor and college. But hey, that's just one person's opinion!
darren, see you in Edinburgh in August! (how crazy does that sound?!?)
If anyone hears anything about EMS, please feel free to post. I'm hoping I might be able to get a waiver for at least a couple of weeks based on past work, but I don't have any info on feasibility of that.
I did find out that the recommended two weeks mixed/large animal practice and two weeks large/equine farm experience are recommended in order to prepare you for EMS in those settings, not that they expect you to obtain four weeks of EMS between now and late July, nor is it absolutely required for admission. I was concerned because I don't know how I'm going to fit everything in, and was worried it would impact my offer of admission, but apparently not. 👍
Trying to just wait and see and not run around like a chicken with my head cut off, trying to put everything in order right now. Next major hurdle - trying to find somewhere to live! 😱
