Quick question - what is everyone wearing to the interview? The info says "business casual" and I wanted to get a sense for how everyone is interpreting this 🙂 I was thinking a long sleeve top, dress pants and nice shoes - thoughts?

I am wearing a nice, black, formal jumpsuit with a black suit coat and black, short heels!

I'm not sure if my understanding is applicable to the Edinburgh interview, but I believe that an open file is when the interviewer already knows about your application. They would be familiar with your GPA, experiences, eLORs, etc., prior to you getting there!

I'm wearing black slacks, a cream dress shirt, a black blazer, and burgundy heels!

Open file just means they have your application open in front of them, so they'll ask questions about your application package! Like work experience, things you put in your personal statement, etc.

I'm wearing navy slacks, a blue and white blouse, and cute black loafers 🙂

I wore black slacks, a striped button down and a suit jacket. Shoes were boots with a short heel.

Thanks! The city was absolutely amazing! I went a few days early to be able to explore since I hauled myself all the way out there. The actual vet school itself is about 8 miles outside of Edinburgh proper, but there is a bus line that connects it (take about 30 minutes-ish). All the facilities are incredible!!
 
Random question on the topic of clothes because I’m overthinking—is it weird to wear a nice cardigan? I’m in NY and I feel like I’ll be freezing in just a top/blazer 😭😭

I’m nervous too! But from what I’ve read/experienced in past interviews MMIs are fairly hard to prepare for and mostly about getting to know you - so that’s comforting at least. Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow!!😊
 
Good luck to everyone interviewing today. I interviewed yesterday. Overall, I felt like everyone was nice although there were long periods of waiting so be prepared for that. As stated earlier it is hard to prepare for these types of interviews, so just be yourself and try and keep calm as it's easy to forget things or rush through when you're nervous.
 
Question for everyone that’s already interviewed—were you really there until 5:30 like the itinerary says or is there a chance of getting out early? I’m meeting a friend in NY afterwards and so I’m just trying to ballpark when it’ll actually end

It really depends on what group you’re in, so you could always text them once you find out at check-in. They’ll give you a full schedule then 🙂
 
Does anyone remember when they said we'd hear back by? I know they mentioned it on the interview day, but I forgot to make a mental note of it

They said by the end of March! I know last year people started to hear back at the beginning of March, so I’m hoping that’s the case this year!
 
How did y’all feel about the interview? Initially I felt pretty ok, but as I’ve received more rejections and I’ve had time to really think about that interview, I feel like it didn’t go as well as I first thought I’m overthinking this lol

It went alright for me. They asked some very specific questions that tbh I wasn't prepared for. I also messed up the practical task lol. This cycle though I've felt poorly about interviews and got in, and then felt excellent about interviews and didn't make it. So ultimately I think interviews are just a very small piece of the puzzle (unless they go catastrophically bad).
