late interviews/acceptances

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, some schools do interview that late, although most are finished in March or April. I bet that with all of the AMCAS problems this year, many schools will interview later than they have in previous years, so I wouldn't be suprized if lots of people are interviewing in late spring/ early summer.
As for acceptances, LOTS of people get accepted all through the summer. Schools accept people up until the first week of classes! They take people off of their waitlists as spots open up in the class.

Yes, schools do accept up until the very last minute. I am at CWRU and one person in my class (from LA) was accepted the week before classes started. I think he had just enough time to pack his car and drive to make it to the white coat ceremony.

I was interviewed at Saint Louis U in April and accepted off of the alternate list in July. Also accepted at Tufts in July. There is definitely hope for the waitlisted. I am now an M'05 at Tufts.

my application was not completed until late (jan), i was interviewed in early march, accepted by late march at DMU. I have heard that they pull people off the alt. list during orientation and into the first week of class.

woohoo!!! 100! (previous post)

One of my friends got into Wayne State off the waitlist in July and another one of my friends was going to Albert Einstein and the week before he was leaving he got accepted off the waitlist at Michigan. You just never know.
