How 'bout Aaron Rogers 400+ yards? That game was a beat down

Yeah, Rodgers played fantastic today.

Wish I could say the same about Sanchez 🙁 While the Jets did play pretty terribly today, I do have to say that the officiating on that game was terrible. They missed two roughing the kickers, a roughing the passer, a pretty crucial passing interference, and calling a fumble that wasn't really a fumble. I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to calling penalties, regardless of which team they get called on - even the commentators were a little surprised at the lack of a lot of these calls.

Oh well, having graduated from Rutgers, I'm pretty proud of Ray Rice 🙄

Is anyone keeping up with the Conrad Murray trial? It's getting pretty dicey... the paramedic that arrived at Jackson's residence gave a really intense testimony the other day. Isn't it sad though, that the only punishment Murray gets if he is proven guilty is 4 years in jail and loss of his medical license? Makes me sick... ugh

I can't sleep, my bed is too warm. I need to get one of those "always-cool pillows" that constantly absorbs body heat.

I think he was in Poseidon too... it was a decent movie. A bit over-dramatic at some parts though... I mean, the ship was only hit by a tsunami and flipped over. No biggy.

Thats right! I forgot about Stargate....I just remembered he was Wyatt Earp in "Tombstone" too...which was also a pretty good movie. I think thats pretty much the extent of Kurt Russel's watchable movies though.

For the sake of not double posting, I'll make a blog-like comment here over something I was just thinking about.

I know we're all probably very young, and our lives have really not even started. I mean... I'm not married, no kids, no career (yet)... so it's a bit premature to think about stuff like this. But I think it would be neat to one day write a book about "stuff". Nothing like an autobiography... just stuff. Stuff I've thought about, stuff that bothers me or makes me happy, my opinion on stuff, philosophical stuff, stuff I've experienced, etc. You know... just STUFF!

Has anyone else thought about writing a book sometime in your life? I have no idea where this topic came from... I was just waiting for my darn poptart to warm up! :laugh:

Ughh. I took both classes together as well a few semesters ago. It was quite a bit of work, although both classes were really cool!

I typically like comedies and dramas. My favorites includ House, The Office, Community, Parks and Recreation, White Collar, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, and Suits. That seems like alot, I should probably cut back lol.

Ah cool. My Name Is Earl is a totally under-rated show. It used to come on at night, it was so witty and funny. The concept behind the show was really clever too.

Can't ever go wrong with Seinfeld though. I've usually only watched episodes that have come on TV ever so often, but I'm thinking about starting from season 1 episode 1 and going to the end.

Favorite show. Ever. I told myself I wasn't allowed to watch the finale until I was accepted into medical school. Now that I can, I'm just making my way through the 8th season from my box set. 😀

I've been curious how it ends for over a year. Lol.

Haha, that explains your avatar. I love Turk! I actually was never into the show until I started watching it at like 3am (when it comes on TV). It really is a clever and hilarious show!

I watched the House season premiere last week (it was leaked on the internet, and I couldn't wait till Monday! :laugh:). House is my favorite show... Hugh Laurie is one of the greatest actors of all time, in my opinion. He's not your typical spotlight-wanting, money-flaunting, divorce-getting Hollywood actor. He's really smart and talented in so many ways (and loyal to his family, something Hollywood couples are not known for). And he does the House persona so well. Yes people, I idolize this man.

Gentlemen, I urge you to go to your closets and look at your suit. Look at the back of it. Is there a thread that ties the vent (flap) down to the rest of the suit? Please cut that thread off. It makes you look silly when you show up to interviews with it still intact.

Also, get your suits tailored. And don't wear black. And don't button the bottom button.

Aha, thanks for the tips Willy. Fortunately I am wearing my blue, tailored suit with the back threads cut to all my interviews. I have this really awesome orange and blue tie that I've been dying to wear. I don't think it's appropriate for interviews though. 🙁

Oh and I have a tip for the ladies. So the clicky heels are great if you aren't walking a lot. But please don't wear them to an interview where you know you will be walking a great distance with 15 other people trying to listen to the tour guide. There are really stylish shoes you can wear that don't produce clicks that echo throughout an entire room. I've even seen some heels that only make light clicks on tile, which actually sounds kinda nice in a weird way. But no ear drum popping clicks, please. 😉

So guess what. I finally mailed my letters of interest to the TX schools, I'm so nervous! I hope they work soon. :scared: Not to mention it's always been 1 week since my DMU interview. I can't wait this long to know!! AHHH.

My teacher asked me earlier today to write him a recommendation letter for a promotion to be on the campus administrative board. It feels weird writing a rec letter for a teacher who helped write my premed rec letter... but he deserves it. He's the BEST! I need to look up how to do this now...

Anyone play video games? Battlefield 3 coming out soon. I also enjoy RPGs like Dark Souls and Final Fantasy

Omg I LOVE final fantasy. I'm like the biggest FF nerd ever. I'm not liking the direction the series is going in though... they are really moving away from what made the games so awesome. It's become so flashy and ridiculous now... the graphics are amazing but the content has lost its flavor. They really need to stick to the FF roots since that's what people enjoy most about it.

What's your favorite FF game? Mine is FF10, followed by FF7/8 in a tie for second place.

Oh, and Nobuo Uetmatsu is a musical god. Just throwing that out there...haha. The FF soundtracks really made the games as amazing and epic as they were.

Favorite FF Game: FF Tactics. It may not be a "true" FF game since its a strategic RPG, but the story, the atmosphere, the characters.. love it all. Playing this game again on my iphone while at work 😉 I didn't really care that much for FF10, it was a good game, but it didn't really stick with me. Didn't play FF12 (I gotta get on this..) FF13 was decent. I know that the series is moving away from its roots, but now that I'm older and don't have that much time to devote to exploring and leveling up, I'm digging the more linear playstyle.

Out of the regular FFs, I'd say FF8 was my favorite followed closely by FF7. I haven't played FF6 (FF3 in USA) which is a shame as I hear it's pretty awesome.

These games all pale in comparison to the awesomeness of Xenogears though. My #1 RPG of all time.

Started the juice fast as seen on Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Feel great but now I can't sleep. So I am too awake to snooze and too tired to study. This is the most I have ever been on SDN. Catching up on all the missed fun here. Think I will entertain myself with YouTube.

Sorry to randomly jump in here. I too loved 8. I would say it is my favorite. Although, as far as villians go, you can't get any more bad@$$ than sephiroth from 7.

So I definitley made some amazing lemon chicken today. It was my first time, so adjustments must be made... but overall, a positive experience. 😎

I know this is a premature question so don't flame me for asking... but what kind of medicine interest you all right now? Or if it's easier... what kind of medicine does NOT interest you?

As for me... I'm interested in surgery but can also see myself doing cards, oncology, or anesth.

I'm sure this will change in a couple years... just throwing a topic to the insomniacs.
