Hello,

Can you give 3 day supply of a control substance (ex: clonazepam) to a patient who doesn't have any refills remaining on the med and the office is closed on the weekend? if so please post a link from the source. I have been looking at https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/manuals/pharm2/pharm_content.htm but there is no info

I wouldn’t do it. If it’s lisinopril and the MD denies the request, no one will care about the lost lisinopril. How would you explain the discrepancy in a control if it gets denied?
