Does anyone know of programs that are less competitive do get into?
Dr. Cuts said:Yeah... all the ones that gave me interviews!
They are... St. Francis Chicago, St. Joe's Phoenix, St. Luke's Milwaukee, Beth Israel Newark, U Missouri Columbia, and LSU-Shreveport. Other than BI Newark though I thought all these programs were good and would have been very happy at any one of them. What I'm saying is that I don't think "less competitive" necessarily means "worse."
Hope this helps... good luck.
Dr. Cuts said:Cons: very bad neighborhood, no PACS, minimal teaching (mostly self-learning), ordered us cheap pizza for lunch during my interview
Pros: IT'S RADIOLOGY
Dr. Cuts said:I think all the residents I met were IMGs... many were from SGU (Carib) since that school's students rotate through BI Newark.
ally said:That gives me some hope although I am an IMG from Europe. I know that it is better to be USIMG for matching into rads but at least I have a green card...
Thanks.

AMMD said:I did a lot of research at that hospital as a college student. A few thoughts about the place.:
Although its in Newark, its in the better part as opposed to UMDNJ
The hospital is pretty nice and most of the people seem to be non malignant (as opposed to UMDNJ)
