I have a less than stellar step 1 score (206), and still don't know what I want to do yet, so I'd like to do a rotation to help me decide. I would like my step 2 score to help compensate for my step 1 score.

Is this a decent schedule?

June: third year ends, they won't let me take this month off
July: rotation in some field I'm considering to figure out what to apply for, and maybe get an LOR from someone in the field
August: Take off this month, in third week or so of Aug, take step 2, CK. Maybe 1 week or two later, take step 2, CS.

Will this schedule allow me time to have my step 2 score compensate for my step 1 score?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah it would. At my school M4 starts in August and many people take August off to take Step 2 - those who want to get it out of the way and those who need to improve.

Depending on what your last rotation is I would consider taking it in July
