let me ask you a stupid question

I am a prelim med,starting this July. If I apply in september this year for PGY-2,can I mention as having a year of hands on clinical experience ,or is that too premature.
I see that some of the programs list 1 year of clinical experience as one of the criteria for interview consideration,hence I was wondering ,where does this leave me.
Would appreciate feedbacks on this situation.

You can't say you already have one year of clinical experience when you apply - you will eventually have that year of experience, but certainly not in September.

Agreed. Just say you are in a preliminary internship and will have a year of experience by the time you start.
