hi caries free,

if u dont plan to retake part 1 and wish to apply with 86, as far as i know, UPENN looks at ur application as a whole,,,,, ur research and work experienceand certain other criteria which in case u have..u still may stand a chance.
NYU I THINK GIVES MORE IMPORTANCE TO gpa....u can still try there.
BU for sure looks at ur marks..so its very tough getting into bu with 86 !!!

cariesfree, these views about upenn, nyu and bu...i've known only from sdn...no personal experience with any of these....so,,,wish u good luck,,,thse were just my 0.02$.
