Picked up and moved to a new city that I know virtually nobody... check

Started school all over again, beginning the pre-req's... check

Feeling jitters, uneasy, and a bit skeptical about the long road ahead.. Definitely check

Well, I'm on my way regardless. Went to my first class today; taking Gen Chem (and Gen Physics) and I feel a bit reassured that I'm not at all the oldest in the class. I'm definitely feeling nervous about how much time, effort, and money I'll be putting out, almost second guessing if I'm even capable and/or am doing the right thing.

Anybody else have or had the same feelings. Please tell me this is normal.

It doesn't surprise me. You dived into the pool head-long. Perhaps you cannonballed it. 🙂 Wait for the shock to wear off and for you get settled in your new environment before you start to really worry. Just don't let this transition period prevent you from approaching this new path with gusto.

Thanks, kind words of encouragement are appreciated. Indeed I did jump. That's the way I typically work, give a big decision some thought and.... GO! Luckily I tend to assimilate quickly to new environments, and one week into the transition things are going very well. Met some great people through the roommate, have a great place to live, and already feeling support from the people I've really just met. I have the feeling the next year and change will fly by, and it will be app and interview time. Let's hope anyway!
