Hey SDN!
NOW is the time for you to renew your ASDA pre-dental membership for the 2014 calendar year! Pre-dental membership dues are $58 and will cover you from the day you sign up through December 31st, 2014.
We could go on and on about the various member benefits and discounts you get for becoming an ASDA pre-dental member (there are a lot!), but here we want to emphasize the invaluable resources applicable to you if you sign up as a UCLA ASDA pre-dental member.
The bottom line is that we at UCLA Dental truly do our best to provide the best things for you guys as possible. We know how difficult and intimidating being a pre-dent can be (the courses, the DAT, not to mention the application process itself!), and want to help you guys in any way possible. As such, there are a number of BIG events coming up this quarter.
1) Dentures Tutorial. For those of you who came out to our tooth waxing tutorial in the Fall, UCLA ASDA will be hosting another one-on-one tutorial with you guys this Winter quarter, but this time on dentures! This is another incredible opportunity to learn about the hands-on work that we do in dental school.
2) Core Build-Up Day. For those of you who are applying to dental school this coming 2014 cycle or perhaps even next year, we will be hosting an application build-up day in the Spring Quarter. Tentatively set for Saturday, May the 3rd, Core Build-up Day will include various mock interviews, a personal statement review workshop, and much more. Last year was our very first Core Build-Up Day and it was a HUGE success. This year, we will be making it bigger and better.
3) Prizes. For everyone who joins ASDA and registers under UCLA before Friday, February 14th, we will be raffling off a number of prizes including a Kindle Fire and various gift cards. Note: Everyone who has already joined ASDA under UCLA in the Fall will automatically be included in the raffle as well. 🙂
