When viewed occlusualy, the aveoli of which of the following groups of teeth tend to be aligned nearest to a straight line?
1. Right and left maxilary central and lateral incisors
2. Right and left mandibular central and alteral incisors
3. Maxillary and left mandibular central and lateral incisors
4.All amxillary first premolars and first molars
5.All mandibular anterior teeth.

In the developing tooth boundary between pre ameloblast and pre odontoblast corresponds best to the boundary between which,

1. Dermis and Hypodermis
2. Or Epidermis and Dermis

can some one explain for answer too

which cell type in the newly forming bone is most mitotic
osteogenic progenitor or osteoblast precursor

osteoblast precursors are osteoprogenitor cells, answer is both are same, and these will be more in newly formed bone tissue.

not sure about both the answers.
inferior oblique is for abuduction(lateral) and superior direction so ithink if deficit then eyr would be medial (adducted) side.

A person's blood is mixed separately with Anti-A serum,Anti-B serum and anti-Rh serum.Agglutination occurs in each case. This person has what blood types?

A)Rh(+),type O
B)Rh(+),type AB

HIV virus can directly infect all of the following cells except

A)neurons
B)macrophages
C)CD4 lymphocytes
D)CD8 lymphocytes

Jaundice is characteristic of all of the following except

A)aplastic anemia
B)liver cell damage
C)excessive hemolysis
D)bile duct obstruction
E)Carcinoma of head of pancreas

Please give the right answers with explanations.Thanks.

incisal guidance is increased by ...decrease in overjet and increased overbite

this person is AB type with A and B antigen on his rbc,so when u give him anti A and antiB serum(antibodies )these will agglutinate

A)neurons
B)macrophages
C)CD4 lymphocytes
D)CD8 lymphocytes answer
HIV will kill all other cells using CD8 cells

A)aplastic anemia answer
B)liver cell damage
C)excessive hemolysis
D)bile duct obstruction
E)Carcinoma of head of pancreas

all other will affect liver function aplastic anemia is due to bone marrow depression, but some cases (2%)aplastic will appear due to acute viral hepatitis

hope i am right,

Please give the right answers with explanations.Thanks.[/quote]

Thanks for replying.

1)AB is a universal recipient,so how can his blood clot when any other blood type is given?I think it is given wrongly in the key.

3)How does carcinoma of the head of pancreas cause jaundice?

Thanks for replying.

1)AB is a universal recipient,so how can his blood clot when any other blood type is given?I think it is given wrongly in the key. yes it is universal recipient ,but not to antibodies serum, they are recepients to O ,AB ,A,and B but not to anti A or antiB

3)How does carcinoma of the head of pancreas cause jaundice?

Jaundice occurs when the tumor grows and obstructs the common bile duct, which runs partially through the head of the pancreas. Tumors of the head of the pancreas (approximately 60% of cases) are more likely to cause jaundice by this mechanism.

phosphorylation of pyruvite kinase occurs by glucagon,it occurs when glucose levels are low, phosphorylation inactivates pyruvite kinase ans so decrease glucose consumtion in glycolysis.in conclusion phosphorylation occurs inorder to proceed glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis.enymes for these 2 pathways are glycogen phosphorylase and fructose 1,6 -biphosphatase respectivly.so answer is glycogen phosphorylase.

hope i am right,

Yes you are right.but in gluconeogenesis pyruvalte caboxylase not fructose1,6-biphosphotase.correct me,thanks

I think phosphorylation of Pk occurs when there is high levels of glucose ,so i think insulin stimulates this rather than glucagon,so glycogensynthesis and gluconeogensis occur rather than glycogenolysis .hope i am correct.thanks

Pyruvate Kinase is ACTIVATED by insulin..so Insulin doesnt Phosphorylate Pk...GLUCAGON does it and it inactivates it! and the reason it does it is explained very well above by metrogyl!!!

1) Go google "mylohyoid" or buy a used copy of Netter. This is basic anatomy for a dentist, and it's important to know it cold.

2)
a. Coronary artery disease
b. Atypical chest pain
c. Diminished exercise tolerance
d. Double cheeseburger
e. All of the above.
