Letter from UCLA

I got a letter (snail mail) from UCLA today. The second paragraph says:

Our Admissions Committee will be conducting the preliminary review of all our applicants through the month of February. Any additional information such as supplemental information, transcripts, letters of rec, etc. will be requested after the initial review.

So does this mean we don't have to send in anything to them till February???? Isn't that insanely late?

"Through the month of February" means they'll be reviewing them from now until the end of February.
