Letter of intent response

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Your presumptions are correct.

i sent out a letter of intent, and a few letters suggesting I was extremely interested and would love to be a resident at their program... got no responses. it drove me crazy first few days, then after searching and reading up on older posts, realized this is very common. so I am not as neurotic anymore... from a 10 on the scale, im down to about a 9.

Makes sense. Anything they say can be "read into" too much so it's probably safest for programs not to say anything. I mean, we already have threads here that goes "what does 'nice to meet you' mean from a program director?" This whole process is so like a 20-year-old woman going on a first date and analyzing the text messages and cryptic behaviors from the guy. (or vice versa) They should rename it the Match.com. Better yet, overtake the domain name and hold the rank order list there.

there's a secret code of responses that tell you precisely how a program is going to rank you. i'll be glad to mail it to anyone for only $10,000.
