letter of rec from dentist

am i supposed to get a letter of recommendation from each dentist i shadow? i know some schools have different shadowing hours requirements and i didn't do all my hours at one dentist, and since LOR is the only way to verify hours, am I supposed to get a bunch of letters, each containing number of hours from each dentist so that dental schools can add them up themselves?

I don't think my LOR has # of hours in it since I never gave that information to my dentist. We'll see how it turns out, maybe the schools will send you LOR verification letters and you take them to the dentist and he fills them out? Dunno just guessing here.

I mean they obviously can't make us tell our dentist to put down the hours in the LOR, what if he forgot? what if he didn't know how to include them? its not like we see these letters and critique them
