When they ask for a science letter of rec, could it be from one I was a teaching assistant in? I didn't take her class; I had the science course with a different professor. But I was a TA during the entire semester for this science professor. So I think I can get a strong letter of rec from her

It will depend on the school, but generally speaking, no. You could use her as a different one of your LOR's, but not as your one from a science professor for most places. Usually they want someone who taught you and gave you a grade.

Depends on the school, yup. Thanks for the answer.
