Should I ask a letter of recommendation from someone in student politics who that can describe a great deal about my character and extra-curricular activities OR

should I get a letter from my research honors supervisor who is very well known but doesn't know too much about my character.

I would ask the research professor but I'm afraid since he doesn't know me too well the letter won't be too comprehensive.

I would do both for the AAMC but TMDSAS requires only 3 letters at max. I know who my other two evaluators would be but for now I don't know who I can choose for my third LOR and I have to pick one or the other.

Is this person in student politics a faculty member? If not, go with your research person.

Good point. No student should ever write your letter of rec. Go with the faculty member.

+1 to the gif response
