Letter of Recommendations

I just cannot seem to get my mind around the letters of reccomendations. Can someone please explain in detail how the LOR's need to be handled? Am I supposed to be gathering them now and then mailing them to AADSAS? I'm confused.

You get your people to write their letters of rec and send them the AADSAS form and have them mail the LOR to the application people, however, i have heard they dont take them until mid-May or so. I would go ahead and get started asking people though. For those of you who are reapplying- do you get the same people you did before to send your LORs or different ones?? Thanks for the help.

I know some schools ask for different letters, like UNLV wants one from a dentist you have shadowed. Are those in addition to the 3 you send with the AADSAS? Should you just include those as one of the three? HOw does that work?
