Letter or recommendation from a CC professor= GARBAGE?

What do you think? I took gen chem I and II and orgo I and II with the same prof and he knows me pretty well.

I think the natural tendency of all us SDNers is to overanalyze every single little aspect of our applications. If the rest of your app is good, I don't think they would really care about the CC recommendation. He knows you, and that's what they want, right? Someone who can really talk about who you are, your performance, and how they think you would be a good dentist. If you know this professor best, I absolutely say go for it!

Best thing, ask d-schools directly (your top choices esp). Do you have any science prof from a 4-yr institution writing a letter as well? If so, I think you should be okay. Ask the schools to be certain. You want to eliminate any uncertainty, and all we can do on SDN is speculate. Best of luck 🙂

It's fine. I knew someone who got into Columbia with LORs from a chem professor at a community college.
