Letters of Recommendation

Our school doesn't have set academic advisors, but I have basically seen the same one for the last 4 semesters. We also don't have a premedical advisory committee. I have been trying to find out whether I can use my academic advisor for a LOR?
Also, we do have a student-run Pre-Med club on campus; could I use a LOR from the president in place of the advisory committee letter? Thanks!

- The reason I'm asking this, is I didn't develop a good enough relationship with any of my profs early enough in my career, so I am short one science letter.

As far as a student ran club president, I would say no. A normal academic advisor should work though. A normal academic advisor may not substitute a science professor's recommendation, but it does count as a letter in general. You should call the schools you are considering applying to and seek guidance about this issue. Good luck to you.

A pre-med advisory committee letter is a summary of all your academic letters rolled into one document, so a single recommendation won't substitute for that. If you don't have a committee, that's fine, many schools don't.
As far as lacking a science letter, you could ask admissions if it's acceptable substitute a letter from your manager or supervisor. If I remember correctly, you're a non-trad as well? I am also and schools seemed to be very interested in my employer-written recommendations. Perhaps the difference could be that my employers were scientists as well. Just a thought. As always, I could be wrong, but it's worth asking.
