Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and have a question. Do most people have all of their letters of recommendation turned in? There was a mix up with one of mine and I am still waiting on it to be turned in. As of now I only have two. I have gotten quite a few interviews, but not as many as I expected by this point. Just wondering if the delayed letter of rec has anything to do with it. Thanks!

mine have been in for 5 weeks or so. A few programs only require 2, but most want 3. I got interviews before all of mine were in too though.

I'm still trying to track down a letter from one faculty member as well, but it hasn't had much effect on the interviews at this point. The biggest speed bump at this date seems to be programs waiting for the Dean's letter on Nov 1.

i was sooooo stressing about this too. i had only one letter in until this week and now finally have all three in (still waiting on surgery but it is the fourth so if it doesn't show up oh well). i got interviews with out them but I feel your pain. a friend of mine who didn't take the usmle and did exactly average on comlex with average grades and no lors in, no research got an interview some place i haven't heard from and really want. of course he is only marginally interested. i got an interview at his number one and i am only marginally interested. this process is so frusterating!

ProDoze, you mentioned programs waiting for the deans letter on Nov 1. I was wondering about that too. Do you know specifically which programs wait? It seems like most don't given the list of places people have already received interviews. Thanks!
