Is it possible for lialh4 to reduce carbonyls directly to alkane? Or is that only for wolffkishner or clemmensen?

LiAlH4 will reduce carbonyls to alcohols. To reduce them to alkanes, you would have to use a Clemmensen or Wolff-Kishner reduction.
