So VCU says they want "Two letters from life science professors who have had the candidate as a student" At first I thought this was only biology, but I have a good letter from my organic prof that I also did research with that I would love to use if possible. O-chem isn't considered a life science is it? I didn't think so, but thought I'd get a second opinion if there are any, then maybe contact the school. Thanks!

I was always under the impression that organic chemistry fell under the physical sciences. I find it odd that you can only use letters from biology professors though. That might make it hard for those that aren't bio majors. I would definitely contact the school about it.

I applied to VCU last year with letters from 1 bio professor and 1 organic chem professor, and was still interviewed. I think both can count as life science, unless they changed something this cycle.

I interviewed at VCU with a letter from a chem professor and a bio last year
