Holy $hit..

Tom Starzl has more than 900 papers.

He is even a surgeon.

# 18) Bob Lefkowitz interviewed me at Duke. That guy is absolutely awesome. He should be on T.V too.
#29) Marc Caron also interviewed me at Duke. Caron post-docked under Lefkowitz. Lefkowitz was flying out to WashU (1hr after my interview ) to give a talk. He has trained over 160 PhDs. Simply outrageous.

BTW I forgot to add that Lefkowitz has NO PhD . He is a regular MD (cardiologist & biochemist) from Columbia Columbia (Ugrad and med school). Straight-up street kid from the bronx. You can't miss the accent. For all you guys and gals that are into research but are neither heading the PhD nor MD/PhD route, you can certainly do it. And even end up crunching out PhDs by the dozen :D . Catch is he's only in the hospital one full month in the year. That seems more reasonable than some every wednesday and friday plan.

UCSD is very well represented with the Salk and Burnham. Nice.

those two are amazing institutions. if i only get the chance to work there someday in my life. the view from salk is simply breathtaking. i cant believe that place!
