linkages in Tx?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
TCOM has a MS in Med Sci program with a linkage to their school. TX has lots of undergrad linkages, but u have to be accepted to them senior year of HS.

Well, the MS in Med Sci is the only formal post-bacc in TX, and it is a graduate program. There are no formal undergrad post-bacc programs in TX for those who are looking to take the pre-reqs.

anything for an allopathic medical student and not osteopathic? thanksyee 😀

right i understand that but why must you be accepted in your Sr. year of HS? or are you talking about the only schools that have linkages are regular colleges without postbacs? hence you must be accepted to those schools or look elsewhere for linkages?

Exactly. I meant that there are linkages, but no allopathic post-bacc linkages. For the OP, if you want formal allopathic post-baccs (I don't know if you want undergrad or grad), you need to head out of Texas. If there was an allopathic post-bacc in TX, I would be going there instead of Gtown and saving some cash.

Actually, the classes at the TCOM post-bacc are pretty good. I inquired about this program and the only reply i got was someone who did the program and then got into UTSW....I dont think it really matters that its osteopathic.

Is the TCOM post bacc possible for people who have not taken the science pre-reqs? Or is one of the gpa booster ones..? thanks 😀

It's an SMP, so you have to have taken all the prereqs and MCAT.
