Here is the link for the new Vet School Pros/Cons List. Please keep in mind this is at a minimum the third rendition of such a list over the last 10 years. The original list was made by a friend, Elkhart, many years ago. Even though they are no longer on SDN, a shout out is needed to recognize this individual's efforts to educate pre-vets about what they are getting into.

There is some more information I want to add to each school (VIN education map info, accreditation status), which will get done over the next few days depending on personal life time.

The list is blank as of 9:30pm Mountain time on 12/9/24. Over the next few days, I will be PMing people to add to this list as I go through the school specific threads looking for individuals that are students of these vet schools. If you are a lurker, you are more than welcome to add the information yourself. I just do not have the time in my personal life to go through the "Factors of Picking A School" thread to copy/paste the information to the list; a lot of that information is also outdated and I feel pre-vets will be better served having more up-to-date information.

Rules of the list

1. When providing your perspective, please list in parentheses your graduation year at the end of your statements (Example: There is no snow here! (2021)). This way people can determine how old your statement is.
2. Please only provide your perspective as a matriculated student.
3. Included with each school listing will be the VIN Student Debt Map financial information. This information will be updated every January at the start of the application cycle.
4. Included with each school listing will be their accreditation status.
5. Please do not delete information from others.
6. Please keep in mind this list is entirely subjective and give each point the grain of salt it deserves.
7. Links for the above information that is objective data will be supplied and updated at least every January. If time allows throughout the year, information will be updated as needed by the document manager.
8. Please do not mess with formatting if you can avoid it. Trust me, it bothers me too.
9. Every AVMA accredited program will be included in alphabetical order. The vast majority of the points will be made by US students through Student Doctor Network. Therefore, several schools will likely have little to no information.
   1. If you participated in a combined/2+2 program (UA-Fairbanks, UNL-ISU, etc.), please include your information under the veterinary school from which you actually graduate from (CSU for UAF, Iowa State for UNL, etc.)
10. If there are shenanigans done to this list, at the discretion of the list manager the list will be locked and updates/changes will need to be sent to Battie on SDN via messenger or posting in the thread.
