When it asks for the "experience description", do they expect a specific description of what the research was about, or what you did/learned? Or what?

When it asks for the "experience description", do they expect a specific description of what the research was about, or what you did/learned? Or what?

What is the rationale for performing the project? How does it fit into the broader goals of the lab? What are the potential clinical translations for this type of research? How did you fit into all of this?

I would definitely avoid giving a tortuously detailed description, since adcom members are unlikely to be specialists in your area of research, and nobody wants to hear about how you ran your gels.
