I am currently attending and taking prerequisites from another university. I want to apply to the University of Houston, but it seems like I would have to take a Literature course. English/writing has always been my worst subject and I am afraid taking it at a university would only bring down my GPA. I have called UH and they told me that if i finish the core curriculum, I would be exempt from taking Literature. Also other university require different literature courses, so if i don't finish up the core curriculum, i would have to take 2 literature courses versus 1 literature course, calculus and quantitative methods in chemistry. I am not sure which route is the best. I think that Literature would be easier than taking 2 math and science courses, but I'm not sure if pharmacy schools recommend taking more sciences courses or do they not care. Should I take 2 literature courses or finish the core curriculum (with calculus 2 and quantitative methods in chemistry) and 1 literature class? Thanks so much!
